Construction dust does not stay in the room it came from

Sanding, cutting and demolition create fine dust that can be drawn into open registers and returns, especially if the system runs during the work. NADCA notes that construction activity can leave debris in HVAC components and recommends verifying cleanliness after installation or renovation.

The scope

  • Supply and return runs — the ductwork serving the work area, and the rest of the system where needed, cleaned under negative pressure.
  • Registers and boots — grilles removed and cleaned, and boots cleared of debris.
  • Filter replacement — the construction-loaded filter replaced at the end of the visit.

Before you ask for an estimate

  1. Schedule it after final cleanup

Book the cleaning once dusty work is finished, so the ducts stay clean.

  2. Tell us what was done

Which rooms were worked on, and whether the system ran during the project, helps us focus the work.

How the visit goes

We confirm the areas and scope with you before starting.
  1. 01

    Inspect the affected areas

Registers, returns and accessible ductwork near the work area are checked first.

  2. 02

    Clean under negative pressure

Debris is loosened and drawn out to the collection unit, not blown into the house.

  3. 03

    Replace the filter

Questions

Straight answers about post-construction cleaning

Does a new home really need duct cleaning?

Not always, but construction dust can get into open ducts. An inspection after final cleanup shows whether cleaning is needed.

When should I schedule it?

After the final construction cleanup and before you move furniture back in, if possible.

Should I run the HVAC during a remodel?

If you have to, seal the vents in the work area and change the filter afterward.

Do you work for builders and contractors?

Yes. Tell us about the project and the handover date and we will plan around it.
